Juanita Richardson Goodson

Juanita R. Goodson – A native of Jackson, MS and longtime resident of Mobile, AL was received into the arms of her heavenly father on Sunday, January 1, 2012. She retired from the US Postal service. Mrs. Goodson was a faithful member of Cottage Hill Presbyterian Church for over 50 years where she served as a past Elder and taught Sunday school. She was a volunteer driver with Meals on Wheels for many years. Her passion was working with the Mission of Hope where she served as past President of the Women’s Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond M. Goodson. Survivors include her children, Dolores G. Jones, Mobile, AL and Arthur R. (Karen) Goodson, Daphne, AL; three grandchildren, Jon R. Jones, Hereford, AZ; Arthur Bryant Goodson, Daphne, AL; and Rebecca S. Lopez, Fairhope, AL; one great-grandchild, Piper S. Lopez, Fairhope, AL; other relatives and dear friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 5, 2012, at 12 noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to Cottage Hill Presbyterian Church, the Mission of Hope or the American Cancer Society.
