Julia Fischer, wife, mother, grandmother, best friend, soul mate and my queen. She is finally pain free after battling cancer for over 20 years. She was born in Cincinnati, OH and grew up in the Marysville, OH area. She had an amazing singing voice. One time in church she let her voice be heard and half of the people turned around to see where that beautiful sound was coming from. She loved and adored animals. She was heavily involved in rescue operations. After hurricane Katrina, she organized our home to be used as a staging area for animals being rescued from N.O. Rescue groups from all over the U.S. came to assist. She was devoted to her family and would help anyone in need. She always placed others before herself. She had a fast paced life style and nothing slowed her down. In 2004 she had a 17 pound tumor removed from her right ovary. During the operation, a lady bug managed to get into the sterile environment and land on her pillow right next to her head. A nurse was assigned to watch the bug through the procedure. They didn't want to exterminate it because they took it as a sign for this special woman. The carcinoid removed was later identified after a couple of years. She was the third documented case in the world. She went through 2 more debulking operations and still refused to slow down. She loved working with people and was such a an inspiration. She opened a home based wedding venue business and instantly loved working with the new brides. She impacted so many people in such a positive way. Some of her brides continued to stay in touch with her over the years. For over 30 years she made me the happiest person alive. She was amazing and words alone cannot describe her. I will miss telling her everyday that I love and adore her.
