A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Karen Mason Moye, 62, will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10 a.m. It will be held in the Fellowship Hall of Ashland Place United Methodist Church located at 15 Wisteria Avenue in Mobile, Alabama. No other memorial or graveside services will be held.
Karen passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, where she was also born on August 27, 1954 to parents Coale E. Mason, Sr. and Bobbie Guy Mason. She attended John Shaw High School and was the first graduating class of Independent Methodist School in 1972. She graduated from the Mobile Infirmary School of Nursing in 1974. The majority of her nursing career was spent in dialysis, and she retired from Fresenius Medical Care in 2014. She had a megawatt smile for everyone she met. Her love for Alabama football could only be eclipsed by her love for her family, especially her daughters and precious granddaughter.
She is survived by her daughters Olivia Moye and Stephanie Clower Watson; son-in-law Justin Watson and granddaughter Mason Della Watson; sisters Denise Mason and Colette May; niece Karen (Kyle) Danner, and great-nephews James, Matthew and William.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Thomas “Stan” Moye, her brother Coale E. Mason, Jr., and her nephew Tommy Maier, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Hemophilia and Bleeding Disorders of Alabama, 4031 US Highway 231, Wetumpka, AL 36093.
