Karen Sillings Shade, 67, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 in Nashville, Tennessee. Karen was born to Norval Sillings and Nora Sillings Capell on May 22, 1956 in Mobile, Alabama. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Karen joyfully spent her time serving others, and sharing the good news from the Bible. She was known for her generosity and cheerful heart, and loved to spend time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Norval Sillings.
Karen is survived by her husband, David Shade; son, Ryan Shade; daughters, Jennifer Jones (Joshua) and Kristen Myers (Jeremy); grandchildren, Keely Shade, Parker Shade, Simon Jones, Piper Jones, Violet Jones, and Braxton Myers; mother, Nora Sillings Capell; brother, Kenneth Sillings (Pam); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends.
A graveside service will be held in Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, Alabama.
