Ms. Linda M Smith

On Sunday December 5, 2021, Linda Sue McNeece Smith, Loving mother to three children passed away at age 71. Linda was born on February 15, 1950, in Fulton, Ms. to Hershell and Wilna McNeece. She was a graduate of Murphy High School in Mobile, Al class of 1968. She went on to earn a Cosmetology degree from Southwest State Technical College in Mobile, Al. She raised a son, Lonnie Smith, and two daughters, Melanie Vier and Jorene Barfield. Linda had a passion for working as a Stagehand for the many artists who brought their performances to Mobile, she also loved to plant flowers and took joy in watching them grow in her yard which was decorated with many different varieties. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, she came to live with Lonnie and Amber Smith and the joy and laughter that she provided their household is priceless. Linda was known for her playful nature; she never met a stranger and has a wonderful sense of Humor. She had a love for her family like no other and often was the life of the party making everyone smile! She was known for her quick wit, infectious smile, and her playful attitude toward life. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Hershell, her mother, Wilna, her sister, Sarah, and her faithful K9 companion Grey Dog. Linda has 4 children Lonnie, Melanie, Jorene, and Misti, brother Tommy McNeece and 12 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday December 10, 2021from 1:00-2:00pm and the graveside service will follow at Pine crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Pkwy.
