Loy was born to William Charles Livaudais and Lelia Bennett Livaudais on September 6, 1947, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was a graduate of Nicholls High School and was a longtime employee of First Homestead Bank – working at both the New Orleans and Metairie branches. Loy grew up in New Orleans, but moved around a bit to Metairie, Citronelle, Alabama, Ormond Beach, Florida, before settling down in Mobile, Alabama. Moving to Mobile was kismet, because she met and became the beloved wife to Randall Dimoff. They met while he was serving as usher at Christ United Methodist Church and married two years later on September 10, 2004. She enjoyed cooking for people (especially her banana nut bread), gardening, and watching Alabama Crimson Tide football.
Loy was a devoted Christian who was involved in church and several bible studies. She and Randy were members of Christ United Methodist Church in Mobile for several years, before following Jeff Spiller and Rob Haynes to Daphne, Alabama when they founded Christ Wesleyan Church five years ago. Loy was a faithful member until her illness bound her to home, but all was made right when she rose to heaven this past Sunday.
Loy was a loving person who had a heart of gold. She was extremely generous and had a helper’s heart. Loy was compassionate, caring, and very loved. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Charles Livaudais and Lelia Bennett Livaudais; two sisters, Aline Curtis and Violet Sanders; and two brothers, Robert Livaudais and William Carl Livaudais.
Loy is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Randall Dimoff; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends.
Visitation for Loy will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a chapel service immediately following.
