Mae Mizelle Ritchie – a native of Panama City, FL and a longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Wednesday, November 10, 2010 in a local hospital. Mrs. Ritchie was preceded in death by her husband, Quinnie Lamar Ritchie; two children, Naomi Mae Ritchie and Lamar Taylor Ritchie; and one grandson, Scott B. McLeod. She is survived by two sons, Winston F. (Carol) Ritchie and Mark A. Ritchie; two daughters, Elaine R. (Jerry) McLeod and Anita R. (George Dewey) Sirmon; one sister, Sara (Robert) Harris; eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Mrs. Ritchie’s family wishes to express their appreciation to the sisters and staff of the Little Sisters of the Poor for the wonderful care shown to her. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, November 12, 2010 from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1655 McGill Avenue, Mobile, Alabama 36604.
