
Mrs. Pate retired from Gayfer's Department Store after many years of service and volunteered for many years at the Little Sisters of the Poor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Bruce Pate, Sr.; one daughter, Theresa Pate McDonough; and two grandsons, Warren Bruce Pate, III and Michael Kent Pate.
She is survived by four children, Margaret Ann Pate (Wendell) Anderson, Warren Bruce Pate, Jr., Tina Pate Pacheco, and Donald Patrick Pate, Sr.; ten grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and other relatives.
Mrs. Pate's family wishes to express their appreciation to the Sisters and staff of the Little Sisters of the Poor for their loving care over the last 3 ½ years of her life.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, January 13, 2012 from the chapel of the Sacred Heart Residence of the Little Sisters of the Poor. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. on Thursday and from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Friday at the Little Sisters of the Poor.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Little Sisters of the Poor would be appreciated. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
