Margo Lynn Nabors

Margo Lynn Gates Nabors, age 66, of Mobile, passed away, April 14, 2020 at Providence Hospital. Margo loved nature and the outdoors. She enjoyed hunting and fishing with her family and bowling in the league with her co-workers at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where she worked for over thirty years. She enjoyed watching Auburn football, braves baseball, LPGA golf and many other sports. She loved country music and tolerated the rock her husband listened to. They attended many great concerts together. Most of all, Margo loved her family, friends, co-workers and the many dogs and cats she gave a loving home to over the years. Margo was preceded in death by her parents, Marion H. and Margie Phillips Gates, Sr., as well as one special cousin, Marie Madison. Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 32 years, Burr B. “ Buddy” Nabors, III; son, Richard Thomas Cook; brother, Marion H. (Martha) Gates, Jr.; Sister-in-law, Beverly (Chris) Sherer; Mother-in-law, Betty Nabors; nephew Marion H. (Irena) Gates, III; nieces, Elaine Frederickson, Sydney Sherer and Emma Kate Sherer, as well as several great and great - great nieces and nephews, three special cousins, Eunice Harris, Cathy Ponds and Wanda Martin; three special friends, Betsy Hicks, Karen Morgan and Becky Lewis. Private graveside services were held in Pine Crest Cemetery, Mobile, AL.
