Marion Ruth Byrd

Marion Ruth Hannah Byrd, 88, of Mobile, Alabama passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Marion was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on May 17, 1934. She was a graduate of Murphy High School. She was a member of Semmes First Baptist Church since 1988 and she retired from Lapeyrouse Grain Corporation. She was preceded in death by her precious husband of 60 years, Woodie Ray Byrd, Sr.; her beloved son, Woodie " Pete” Ray Byrd, Jr.; her parents, Clyde and Ruth Hannah; her son-in-law, Mike Bettis; two brothers and one sister. She is survived by two daughters, Paula Ellinburg and Judith Bettis and one son, Dennis Byrd; five grandchildren, Brandon Byrd, Bradley Byrd, Jessica (Kevin) Wickel, Carey (Kyle) Rogers and Cody Byrd; five great grandchildren, Jacob Simons, Kaleb (Sarah) Wickel, Hannah Wickel, Maddex Rogers and Sophia Rogers; two great great grandchildren, Emery Rutherford and Easton Wickel; brother, Clyde Hannah, Jr., and siblings, Gene Hannah, Jeanette Hannah, Patricia Bregartner and Steve (Nancy) Hannah. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Semmes First Baptist Church, Semmes, Alabama.
