Suzanne McInvale Shotts, 71, passed away surrounded by family and friends, September 28, 2018. She was a graduate of Murphy High School, attended Auburn University and received her BA in education from Augusta College. She was a past president of the Mobile Dental Auxiliary, served on the board of the Florence Crittenton Home, and served in various capacities at Dauphin Way United Methodist Church. Suzanne was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and a faithful friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Haywood and Elsie Diamond McInvale, brother General Robert H. McInvale, Jr. and son Andrew R. Shotts, Ph.D. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Dr. Wayne L. Shotts, son Blair Shotts, Camille Teodoro and grandson Wren Atticus Shotts. Suzanne's loving and giving spirit will remain in our hearts and minds forever.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 5, 2018 at Dauphin Way United Methodist Church from 9:30-11:00 am with a service to follow in the Chapel. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be offered to the Meals on Wheels Program at Dauphin Way, 1507 Dauphin St., Mobile, Al 36604.
