Mark G. Cook Sr.

Mr. Mark G. Cook, Sr. – a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL died Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Mercy Medical. Mark retired in 2001 as a sergeant with the Mobile Police Department after 28 years of service. He was a 1968 graduate of McGill Institute, a 1972 graduate of the University of South Alabama, and a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Council #7270. He was preceded in death by his father, Captain G. Rodger Cook, Sr. He is survived by two children, Angela Cook and Mark G. Cook, Jr.; his mother, Mrs. G. Rodger (Agnes Theresa) Cook; his brothers and sisters, Sr. Frances Ann Cook, R.S.M., Captain G. Rodger (Patti) Cook, Jr., The Reverend Adrian L. Cook, Paul D. (Nancy) Cook, and Agnes Theresa (Scott) Johnson; two grandchildren, Kelton Shirley and Dylan Cook; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Monday, August 8, 2011 at Little Flower Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until 12 Noon Monday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus Council #7270. Interment will be in Catholic Cemetery.
