Mark Ivey Sheppard departed this life on Tuesday, May 14. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Sheppard, his parents C.C. and Nina Sheppard, and his brother, Randy Sheppard. He is survived by his precious daughter Jessica, his brother Tim Sheppard, and two sisters, Brenda Sheppard and Sonya Bell. Mark enjoyed a long and successful career in the maritime industry, lived in various port cities, and had been serving as Vice President of international trade and development for the Alabama Port Authority since 2005. Of all his many accomplishments, he was most proud of his daughter Jessica, whom he loved very much. Mark will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. The family will receive friends from 2 P.M. until 4 P.M. on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street followed by a memorial service at 4 P.M.
