Marsha was the second born daughter of four, only beating her twin, Mona by minutes. She was joined by her older sister, Myra, and youngest sister Melinda to be a part of the four Parker girls. The four girls’ relationship was an inspiring model of sisterly love, and Marsha enjoyed a close, lifelong friendship with each.
Marsha married her husband of 38 years, John (Jack) Kimmitt and together they raised their son John Bailey Kimmitt mainly in Fairhope. Bailey presented Marsha and Jack with a wonderful daughter in law, Sarah, and a very happy grandson, nine-month-old John Kolbe Kimmitt. Marsha is predeceased in death by her parents, Gene Parker and Pauline Hunt, and is survived by her husband, Jack Kimmitt, son Bailey (Sarah) Kimmitt of Alexandria, VA, and beloved grandson Kolbe.
She is also survived by her sisters, Myra Warren of Kansas City, Mona Lester (Martin) of Fairhope, and Melinda (Mark) McLendon of Jackson. Marsha’s in laws, Terry (Gayle) Kimmitt of Waco, Texas; Mike (Mary) Kimmitt of Franklin, TN; Kathy (Dewey) Aucoin and Ann (David) Rabenhorst of Baton Rouge, LA; her step mother, Ellen Parker of Jackson, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Marsha was a devoted mother and grandmother, ice cream connoisseur, and loved to cook and laugh (…she was often prone to laughing before she told her jokes!)
Visitation will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, Daphne, Alabama on Friday, March 21, 2025 beginning at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fairhope, Alabama.
