Martha Bullard Hunt

Martha Bullard Hunt – A native and lifelong resident of Mobile, died Sunday, October 17, 2010, in a local hospital. She was a graduate of Theodore High School and attended the University of Montevallo and the University of South Alabama. Martha retired after 35 years of service as Director of Medical Records and Transcription from USA Hospitals, including USA Medical Center, Doctors Hospital, USA Knollwood Hospital, and USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital. A member of Christ United Methodist Church, a wonderful mother, loving grandmother, sister, niece, and true friend, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clay Hybart Bullard and Leslie Woodham Bullard. Survivors include her daughter, Angela Hunt (Ken) Surgenor of Mobile; two sisters, Sallie (David) Burch and Dianne (Bill) Nassar, all of Foley; her brother, Vic (Donna) Bullard of Mobile; two grandchildren, Rich and Reilly Surgenor; three nieces, Shannon Deas, Jill Delamore and Terri Snow-Shabra; five nephews, Rob Deas, Paul Burch, Clay Bullard, David Snow, and Danny Snow; three aunts, Maxine Congleton, Patsy Woodham and Bobbie Jean Middleton; one uncle Happy Woodham; her dear friend, Carole Knowles; cousins, other relatives, and many very special friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 19, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
