Mary Lou Helton

Mary Lou Helton passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 28, 2016. She was a lifelong resident of Mobile. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary Lou is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, James Otis Helton, her mother, Dorothea Howard Martin, father, Benjamin Howard, stepfather, Vincent Patrick Martin and siblings, Deanna Martin Gales, and Vincent Patrick Martin, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Carolyn Howard Wilson, brothers Henry Earl Howard, Reggie Howard and her children, Deborah Helton McAdams (Mike), Laura Helton Krause, Julie Helton True (Rick), James Otis Helton, Jr. (Teresa), Joseph Randall Helton, and Jerrold Lee Helton (Amy), eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive visitors before the service beginning at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ransom Ministries, P.
