

Mary Hanks “Jackie” Johnson, 85, died October 18, 2015 at the home of her daughter in Memphis, TN. Visitation will be held Friday, October 23, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL. A memorial service will be held in the Oakleigh Chapel at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015, with interment to follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. A dinner will be hosted by The Forest Park Bible Church after the service on Saturday. She was born August 25, 1930 in Frisco City, AL to Lawrence and Beulah Hanks, the ninth of ten children. Her father was a fisherman and later worked for the WPA building Brookley Field. Her mother was a homemaker. They moved to Mobile in 1939. “Jackie”, as she liked to be called, was married to Albert “Kelly” Johnson for 49 years. She was an active member of the Forest Park Bible Church for many years. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members and friends. Her love of family was evidenced in all facets of her life. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her three children, Russell Johnson, Steven Johnson and Amy Williams (Billy); four grandchildren; Scott Johnson (Alicia), Nicholas Johnson (Morgan), Zachary Williams and Victoria Williams and three great-grandchildren, Nathan, Tyler and Peyton Johnson.
