

Mrs. Jumonville was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church and a former member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church, where she served as the church hostess and, along with her husband, George, as Adult Sunday School Department of Directors. Her former work experiences included the Internal Revenue Service, Corps of Engineers, Farmers Home Administration, and AmSouth Bank. She also organized "Tours for Teens" and worked in the travel business for many years. Mrs. Jumonville was an expert seamstress, having sewed many prom dresses, Azalea Trail dresses, Mardi Gras costumes, and wedding gowns.
Mrs. Jumonville was preceded in death by her husband, George Benedict Jumonville, Jr.; her parents, Owen Owens Gardiner and Mamie Ruth Cribb Gardiner; three brothers, Carl Edwin Gardiner, Robert Owen Gardiner and Frank Gardiner; and her sister, Ruth Gardiner Webster.
She is survived by her son, George Robert (Pat) Jumonville of Houston, TX; two daughters, Patricia Ann Jumonville (Steve) Blanchard and Jean Jumonville (Victor) Gaston, all of Mobile; eight grandchildren, Brooke McDonough, Wes (Ashley) Lathan, Turner (Aristea) Jumonville, Hank (Laura) Gaston, Jennifer (Jerry) Thompson, George (Tawnya) Gaston, Todd (Cindy) Blanchard, and Stephen Blanchard, Jr. Mrs. Jumonville is also survived eleven great-grandchildren, Mary Frances McDonough, Elizabeth McDonough, Eleanor McDonough, James Gaston, Noah Gaston, Charlie Gaston, Jason Gaston, Matthew Gaston, Hudson Jumonville, Brady Lathan, and Madison Lathan; and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
