Mary Kate Shepard Cook died on January 22, 2017. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana May 30, 1918 and was a resident of Mobile for more than 80 years. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, the D’Iberville Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, which she helped organize, the Jefferson Davis Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, which she helped organize, the Azalea City Women’s Club and the Energizers.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James Warren Cook, her parents Charles Martin Shepard, Jr. and Mary Touchy Shepard, and her brothers, Louis Victor Shepard and Charles Martin Shepard, III.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Shepard Cook (Jacksonville, FL), her son, James Warren Cook, Jr. (Raleigh, NC) and her numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 10:00am at Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Pkwy, Mobile, AL.
