Mary Frances Lewis

Mary Frances Lewis “Fran”, 96, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019 in Pensacola, Florida. She was a long-time resident of Mobile, Alabama. Fran loved being with her family – she was big on birthday celebrations. She also loved to travel.

Fran was preceded in death by her husband, William Alfred Lewis, Jr.; parents, Piney C. Rowell and Alice Helms Rowell; brother, Earl Rowell; and sisters, Verna Rowell Carter and Lee Sullivan.

She is survived by her two sons, Billy (Shirley) Lewis and Gary (Glen) Boutwell; grandsons, Robert Boutwell, Tom Boutwell, Earl Boutwell, and Jason Pugh; granddaughters, Barbara Dorrough, Leacy Lewis, Jennifer Wright; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends.

Visitation for Fran will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. with a chapel service immediately following at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
