Mary Louise Nicholson

She graduated from Livingston University with a BA in Education and a Masters Degree from the University of South Alabama. Mrs. Nicholson taught in the Mobile Public School System (Theodore, Nan Gray Davis Elementary, and Grand Bay Elementary) for many years before retiring. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Theodore.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Allen Nicholson; parents, Charles Henry Switzer and Rosa Lee Merriwether Switzer; brothers, Charles Henry Switzer Jr., and James Dudley Switzer and sister, Alice M. Skutack.

She is survived by her sister, Betty June Burrell of Pass Christian, MS; sister-in-law, Maria Weber Switzer of Grand Bay, AL, her three sons: Joe Allen (Beth) Nicholson of Prattville, AL., Warren Henry (Kathy) Nicholson of Mobile, AL., and Robert Anderson Nicholson of Irvington, AL., and many other relatives, grandchildren, great- granddaughter and numerous friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin St, Mobile AL. 36606.
