

Mary Blanche Williams Wilson – a lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama, was born September 8, 1922 and died on September 17, 2011 in Mobile. She was a past president of Women in Construction, Gayfer’s Career Club, the Pilot Club of Mobile, and American Business Women’s Association, which also selected her as Woman of the Year and the recipient of the Grace McCane Award. She was a 1939 graduate of Murphy High School at age 16. She started work at age 15 working after school at Kress’s. Later she worked at Hammel’s Department Store, Bay Distributing Company, the Arthur Outlaw Brewery Company, Montgomery Elevator Company, Haiman Real Estate Company, and the Gordon B. Kahn Real Estate Company. She married Lawrence Graham Wilson, Jr. She is survived by her son, Lawrence Graham Wilson, III of Mobile; five granddaughters, Wendy (Kenneth) Marie Wilson Clark of Newark, Delaware, Vanessa Irene Wilson Bucksner of Newark, Delaware, Stephanie (Daniel) Wilson Kingston of Doha Qatar, Irene (Carlos) Nicole Wilson Castro of Doha, Qatar and Stephany Tatiana Wilson of Bay Minette, Alabama; and seven great-grandchildren, Julian Hunter Clark, Conner Clark, Sean Clark, Annina Bucksner, Isabella Belize Bucksner, Valentina Bucksner and Sol Stephania Kingston. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, September 22, 2011 from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery West, on Snow Road.
