Max D. Stephens – a native of Whistler, AL and a resident of Theodore, AL, died Monday, December 17, 2012 in a local hospital. He was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Thomas and Betty Stephens and one brother, Michael Stephens. He is survived by four children, Nathan D. Stephens, Kimberly M. Stephens, Ashley R. Stephens, and Elizabeth C. Ransier; one sister, Barbara Ruiz; one brother, James Stephens; twelve grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until 12 Noon on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
