Mrs. Melissa Breland Grovenstein – a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 in a local hospital. She was a loving wife, mother, and sister. Melissa was preceded in death by her parents, Hagen Thomas Breland and Alva McCaffery Breland; and her brother, Michael A. Breland. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Grovenstein; two sons, Gerald Dane Grovenstein, Jr. and Thomas Evan Grovenstein; one sister, Monica Marston; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street. Graveside services and interment will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, October 29, 2010 in Pine Crest Cemetery with Reverend Jeff Spiller officiating. Pallbearers will be Robert Alexander, Stephen Zalopany, Ryan McGinty, Lee English, Matthew Sturdivant, Andrew Larry, John Savell, J.T. Thompson, and Nick Laskay. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
