It is with deep regret to inform you of the recent passing of Michael Friedlander, devoted father of Madelyn Friedlander, loving son of Marcia W. Friedlander, and Mary Ann Friedlander and the late Maury Friedlander, and devoted brother of the late Harryl Amy Friedlander. He is also survived by his loving sister, Beth Friedlander Vorwaller (Stuartt Kammer), niece, Rachel Vorwaller Cohen (Alex) and numerous loving cousins.
An active Real Estate broker and successful investor, Michael was the founder of Friedlander Realty. Michael was first and foremost a dedicated father to Madelyn. He took great pride as a frequent parent volunteer at all of Madelyn's school events, supporting Madelyn and her friends. Michael was an avid reader, cook, and enjoyed scuba diving and volleyball, but above all he cherished time with his family and friends. He provided many volunteer hours of service over the years as a Board member of the Mulherin Custodial Home.
Rabbi Steven Silberman will preside over the private graveside funeral services on Monday, April 13 at 10:00 a.m. at the Springhill Avenue Temple Cemetery, 841 Owens Street, Mobile, Alabama. In light of the present health crisis we are experiencing, there will not be a Shiva. There will be a Minyan via Zoom at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13.
