Milburn George Temme Jr., age 73, of Bayou La Batre, Alabama passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020. M.G. or Temme, as most knew him, was a retired Naval Reservist. He served in Vietnam, aboard the USS Wrangell (AE12), He received a national defense service medal, Vietnam campaign medal w/device, and a Vietnam service medal w/one bronze star. M.G. continued assisting the military as an engineer with Ingalls for both Naval and Coast Guard ship designs, retiring from this position in 2012. His passions were golfing with his childhood friends and as a member of a Mobile Mardi Gras mystic Society.
M.G. is survived by his three children, Patrick McGowin Temme, Kimberly Webb (Bill), and Kelly Loper (Ben); and two grandchildren, Benjamin Loper and Margaret Ann Loper.
M.G. was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Ann Thoss-Temme; father, M.G. Temme, Sr.; and mother, Mary Patricia Bosarge Temme.
A visitation for M.G. will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, Alabama 36606. A graveside service will occur Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Oddfellow Cemetery, 12450 Irvington Bayou La Batre Highway, Bayou La Batre, Alabama 36509 followed by interment.
