Mildred Watson Hodges - Born June 11, 1920, in Little Rock, AR, and a resident of Mobile for the past 56 years, died Friday, February 18, 2011, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Hodges was very active in her community. She served as President of the Cosmopolitan Club and was a charter founding member of Spring Hill Swim Club. She was a member of Spring Hill Avenue United Methodist Church, Highland Country Club and the Buccaneer Yacht Club. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by three sons, Richard F. (Rhonda) Hodges, Scott W. (Sharon) Hodges and Robert A. Hodges; four grandchildren, Tory C. Hodges, 2nd Lt. Damian (Kristen) Blalack, U.S.M.C., Stephanie L. McQuillan, and Sgt. Matthew W. (Christen) Hodges, U.S.M.C.; five great-grandsons, Jack, Carter, Justin, Cooper, and Conner; her precious "Boo Boo"; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-mobile.com.
