Mittie Holston Dobson, age 85 of Mobile, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones. She was a native of Waynesboro, Mississippi and resided in Mobile, Alabama for 60 years. She worked for AT&T for 42 years. She was a member of Luke 4:18 Fellowship. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed cooking, reading, telling stories, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Dobson was preceded in death by her husband, Martin L. Dobson; parents, Inez and Tillman Holston; and brother, Tillman Earlie Holston. She is survived by her son, Gregory (Darla) Dobson; two brothers, John Holston and Montay Holston; one sister, Jean Humphrey; four grandchildren, Joel Dobson; Lucas (Hadley) Dobson; Lauren (Drew) Steber; and Caitlyn Dobson; and one great-grandson, Knox Dobson. Services will be held at Pine Crest Funeral Home, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway Mobile, AL 36605. Funeral services will be officiated by Brother Fred Wolfe. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am Thursday, January 19, 2017, with a service immediately following at 11:00 am.
