Mollyanna Harvey Pesnell

Mollyanna Harvey Pesnell, age 92, a native of Birmingham, Alabama and a longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama died on Saturday, October 20, 2012 in a local healthcare facility. Mrs. Pesnell was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Odia Almyr Pesnell, with whom she owned and operated Almyr’s Shoes for 35 years. Mrs. Pesnell was an active member of Forest Hill United Methodist Church where she served as a charter member of the DMA. She was also the president of Alpine Hills Garden Club. She is survived by her three children, Harvey (Shannon) Pesnell of Fairhope, AL, Odia “Pepper” (Pam) Pesnell, Jr. and Kay (Larry) Wilson all of Mobile, AL; four grandchildren, Branon Pesnell, Odia “Myrs” Pesnell, III, Leah Strickland; Mollyanna Nelson; four great grandchildren, Carter Pesnell, Caplan Pesnell, Braden Strickland and Madelyn Grace Nelson. The family would like to give special thanks to Mrs. Pesnell’s former daughter in law, Jan Pesnell & caregiver, for their loving support and compassion throughout the years, Ty Stanley and the loving care at Brookside Specialty Care. Graveside services and interment will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 10:00 AM in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Monday 9:00 AM until service time at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
