Ora Velma Hixson

Mrs. Ora Velma Cruce Hixson, age 93, went to heaven Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2013 from South Baldwin Hospital in Foley, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil R. Hixson. She was born and raised in Warren, Arkansas, and has been a long time resident of Theodore, Alabama and attended Dauphin Way Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two sons and their wives: Dr. Douglas B. Hixson and Nancy; and Mr. Richard Hixson and Anne. She also leaves to cherish her memory three grandchildren: Mr. Greg Hixson; Mr. Scott Hixson; and Mrs. Renee Hixson Singh and her husband, Bobby Singh.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile, Alabama. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway.
