

Mike was born August 17, 1953, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Troy B. Crane, both of whom preceded him in death.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Kim Havens Crane; two daughters, Jade A. Crane and Jessica N. Crane; one son, Benjamin J. Crane; two grandsons, Talan Friedrikis and Keenan (Cody) Bell, II; three sisters, Nanette Crane Lartigue (Larry), Annette Crane Jernigan, and Sheila Crane Hubbert (Robert Mott); as well as his beloved Granny, Eunice Thomley; aunt, Naomi Herrin; uncle, Paul Summerlin, Jr.; niece, Amanda Jo Thames (Allen); nephews, Troy Michael Cayton (Theresa Lee), Thomas "TUNA" Cayton, and Anthony " Ronnie" Anderson; cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. C. Uzell, the many other doctors, nurses, and staff members at Southern Cancer Center; the fourth floor (N.E. Wing) at Mobile Infirmary; and Odyssey Hospice who took such good care of him during his many stays and were so kind and compassionate to all the family.
Despite the challenges he faced with Leukemia, he never quit, he never complained, and he never gave up. He was an inspiration to so many and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Due to his health, he retired from Teledyne Continental Motors after 28 years of service.
Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street, on Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. A Memorial Service honoring Mr. Crane's life will immediately follow with Reverend Mitchell Powell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Leukemia Society, 2854 Old Shell Road, Mobile, AL 36608 in honor of Mr. Crane.
