Ray is survived by his wife of 64 years, Minnie Ruth Hammonds Lynch; daughter, Lynn Lynch; brother & sister-in-law, Royce Lynch (Ruby); sister, Elsie Wiggins; brother & sister-in-law, Russell Lynch (Cindy); sister & brother-in-law, Elayne Hodges (Don); grandchildren, Thomas Metcalf, Joseph Chastain, III (Katie), and Justin Chastain; great-grandchildren, Katielynn Krzewski (Tim), Elise Chastain, and Dean Chastain; and great-great-grandchild, Gideon Krzewski.
Ray was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Lynch; mother, Cora Hobbs Lynch; and brothers, Robert Lynch, Rufus Lynch, and Roger Lynch.
A visitation for Ray will be held Monday, December 9, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, Alabama 36606. A celebration of life will occur Monday at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Alabama State Veteran's Cemetery, 34904 State Highway 225, Spanish Fort, Alabama 36527.
