Mrs. Divine was born on January 31, 1933, to Hardy and Nina Prentiss in Leakesville, Mississippi. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. For 40 years she served as a faithful pastor’s wife in churches in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and playing card games and dominoes with friends whenever the opportunity arose.
Mrs. Divine is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Pastor Gary Divine; her father and mother; brothers Donnie, Jack, Russell, and DeWitt Prentiss; sisters Jessie Hicks, Vesta Marie Brewer, and Polly McMillan; son-in-law Keith Harris and granddaughter Maranda Harris.
Mrs. Divine is survived by her daughter Patty Harris; son David Divine; grandchildren Marley Harris and husband Justin Ward, Karsten and wife Jenni Harris, Anna Divine, Nicholas Divine; great granddaughters Emma, Ava, and Lyla Harris; and many other close family friends and relatives.
Services will be held at Eastern Shore Baptist Church in Daphne, Alabama on Thursday, August 28th 2025 at 2 PM and at Southern Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Saturday, August 30th 2025 at 2 PM.
