Richard Floyd Lowery

Richard Floyd Lowery, born March 30, 1926 was called home on May 14, 2012. He was born in Monroeville, AL and was a life-long resident of Irvington where he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Floyd was a longtime member of Coden Bible Church. Floyd is survived by his wife of 64 years, Vivian Taylor Lowery; two daughters, Carol Weed and Gwen (Tommy) Howard; one son, Richard (Diane) Lowery; nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; one brother, J.W. (JoAnn) Lowery; three sisters, Ruth Harris, Octavia Raley, Voncille Lyons, many relatives and a great number of friends. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Vassie Lowery; brothers, John and Cecil Lowery. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM from Coden Bible Church. Visitations will be held on Friday evening from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home and on Saturday one hour prior to service time at the church. Interment will be in Odd Fellow Cemetery.
