Robert Williams "Bobby" Allen

Robert Williams "Bobby" Allen, 87, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile passed away at home on Friday, March 13th. He was a graduate of Murphy High School and a member of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church. Bobby served in the United States Army and retired after many years as a recruiting manager for the Alabama Army National Guard. Additionally, he also worked for many years at the Mobile Municipal Auditorium and was active in a local mystic organization. He was a loving father and grandfather who more than anything, enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, John Frank Allen, Jr and Ira Fincher Allen. Survivors include: Daughters Leisa Allen Richardson (David), Fairhope, AL, Lynn Allen Byrd (Richard) Mobile, AL, and Leslie Allen Spaht (Charlie) Mobile, AL.; Grandchildren: Jarred Richardson, Blake Richardson, Fairhope, AL, Brian Richardson (Tracie), Nashville, TN, Whitney Byrd Barnett (Ham) Mobile, AL, Richard Byrd Jr (Hillary), Dallas, TX, William Spaht, Mobile, AL; nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 21st at Dauphin Way United Methodist Church, 1507 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL, at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will follow. Serving as pallbearers for the private graveside service are Jarred Richardson, Blake Richardson, Brian Richardson, Ham Barnett, William Spaht, Kenny Evans.
