Robert Schwarz Holberg passed away on February 28, 2025. He was born in Mobile April 6, 1944 leaving behind his beloved wife Elaine, two adored children daughter Amelia Sharon Holberg (Gregory Postal), son Jordan Robert Holberg, four wonderful grandchildren Levi Postal, Julius Postal, Elana Postal, and Asher Postal. He is also survived by his brother Ralph Gans Holberg III (Sandra), and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Ralph Gans Holberg, Jr. and Amelia Piser Schwarz Holberg.
Bobby was a lifelong resident of Mobile attending Old Shell Road School, Sidney Phillips Junior High, and Murphy High School. While at Murphy he enjoyed writing, directing, and performing in numerous stage shows. He was president of the Junior Class and selected as Mr. Panther Spirit. Additionally, Bob wrote for The Murphy High Times newspaper. After high school he attended the University of Alabama majoring in Art Education. In 1964 he met Elaine at the University of Alabama and were inseparable for the next 61 years.
He moved to Miami, Florida to work in the art department of Wometco Enterprises, and then returned to the University of Alabama to get his Masters in Student Personnel Work. After graduation he worked for the University of South Alabama establishing their Student Orientation Program, served as the first program director of the University Center, and then became the first full-time director of the Counseling Center. For two years Bobby was director of the Religious School for the Springhill Avenue Temple. In 1973 he established Bob Holberg Advertising, Inc. with his wife until they retired 44 years later.

He will be greatly missed by his family. He left us much too soon.
