Ronald Harris Stokley

Ronald “Tony” Harris Stokley of Semmes, Alabama, Passed away on December 28, 2025 at his home with his grandson at his side. He was born in Waynesboro, Mississippi to the late Jesie and Ervin Stokley on December 30, 1944.

He attended Vigor High School in Prichard, Alabama. He married the love of his life, Janice Elaine Busch Stokley on August 28, 1964. He worked as a mechanic for Joe Bullard for 23 years and then worked privately from home until he retired at 65.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Jesie and Ervin Stokley; and his siblings, Bertha S. Stokley, Roha Wright, Calbert Lawson, Lora Stokley, Ida Fay Pitts, Avon Stokley and Delilha Stokley.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 61 years, Janice Stokley; his son, Robbie Stokley; his sister, Cora Gurley; grandchildren, Jacquelyn (Austin) McIlwain, Christopher (Mary) Stokley, Garret Stokley; and his great grandchildren, Jozalynn McIlwain, Gunnar McIlwain, and Janice Stokley. Also, survived by other relatives, family and friends.

The family of Ronald Stokley wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Aveanna Hospice, especially his nurses, Adrienne and Rhonda.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Ronald’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.

Visitation for Tony will be held at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Chapel service will be held in the Chapel of the funeral home at 2:00 PM, with Roy Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery West, Mobile, Alabama.
