Rose Marie Kountz Kiernan

Rose Marie Kountz Kiernan – an 74 year-old lifelong resident of Mobile passed away Friday, October 22, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. In her youth, Mrs. Kiernan was a two sport athlete, playing both softball and basketball. Mrs. Kiernan was a longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church and enjoyed playing bingo. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Clarence F. Kiernan. She is survived by her children, Linda Robinson (Tommy), Tee Kiernan (Missy), and Shannon Pelman (Mike); special friend, Suggie McCarthy; brothers, James Kountz and Douglas Kountz; sisters, Annie Chappell (Burt) and Barbara Ann Smith; grandchildren, Tara Green (Ben), Tommy Robinson (Mary), Todd Robinson, Trey Kiernan, Taylor Kiernan, and Tyler Kiernan; great-grandchildren, Will and Wyatt Green and Grayson and Jack Robinson; brother-in-law, John Kiernan; sisters-in-law, Mary Catherine Brown (Gary) and Charlotte Joiner (Bruce); her bingo crew; many other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 9 a.m. prior to the mass. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Monday, October 24, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
