He leaves his wife of 68 years, Esta (Stapleton) Price; sons, Roy K. Price Jr. (Angie), Ronnie Price (Jennifer), Richie Price (Joyce); daughters, Kay Peace (Eddie), Linda Cazalas (Jimmy); daughter-in-law, Deborah Price; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Born in Tennessee, he is preceded in death by his son, Roger Price; father, Joseph Price; mother, Nellie Price; two sisters and one brother.
Mr. Price was retired United States Army veteran of 21 years and retired as a detective with the Mobile County Sheriff’s Department of 20 years. He truly cherished his family and loved spending time reading and watching old westerns.
Visitation for Mr. Price will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway. Visitation will resume on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Fulton Road Baptist Church, with a funeral service beginning at 11 a.m., Art Burroughs officiating and music provided Ralph Reeseman, Shanna Stoker. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
Pallbearers include: Brandon Woodruff, Kyle Price, Kent Price, Jimmy Cazalas, Eddie Peace, and Scott Baria. Honorary pallbearers include: Frank Stapleton, Calvin Stapleton, Curt Stapleton, Jr., Ralph Reeseman, Roy Price, III, Christopher Price, and Ron Price.
