Ruby Lee Janik, 82, of Mobile, Al., died Friday, August 27, 2021. Born in Jacksonville, Fl., she was the daughter of the late Earnest Paul & Mamie Louise Mayhugh. She was a retired nurse and homemaker who loved to make quilts. She was a Christian who read and studied her Bible.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Jean Mayhugh Isbell; sons, James Alva Stidger and Paul Levon Stidger.
She is survived by her dedicated and devoted husband of 40 years, Michael R. Janik. Daughters Sharon Towler and Ellen Marie (Tee) McCovey; son David Rollins; brothers Doug Slay and Ron Slay; stepdaughter Bekki Janik Knight; stepson Michael (Marsha) Janik. A host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 3, 2021, at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin St., Mobile, Al., 36606. Viewing will begin at 10am with the services starting at 11am. Pastor Tee McCovey, son-in-law, from the Worship Center Church, Pascagoula, MS will officiate the service.
