Samuel Alfred Borden

Mr. Samuel Alfred Borden – A native and resident of Semmes went home to be with our Lord and Savior, on Monday, May 28, 2012. He died peacefully in his home, on Memorial Day. Mr. Borden was a retired Captain from Warrior & Gulf Navigation for United States Steel Company. Mr. Borden was preceded in death by his father, Chareles Lewis Borden, Sr.; mother, Maisie Idalia Borden; and brother, Charles Lewis Borden, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Lindean Guy Borden of Semmes; step-son, Dick (Chanda) Lambert; five children, Cathy (Charlie) Broadus of Meridian, MS, Allyn Borden of Mobile, Roy Reynolds of Naples, FL, Rebecca (John) Lucas of New Orleans, LA and Gwendolyn (Thomas) Portella of Naples, FL; two brothers, Charles Lewis Borden and Mark Acton Borden; a sister, Maisie Daphne Rose; nieces, Maisie Rose Smith, Selena Borden and Cathy Borden; nephews, Dr. Charles Lewis Borden, III., Lynn Borden and Thomas Borden; grandchildren, Amanda Borden, Samantha Borden, Ashton Borden, Kayla Lambert and Dylan Lambert; and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Radney Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
