Sarah "Bootsie" Martin Stapleton

Sarah “Bootsie” Martin Stapleton, a native Mobilian was born May 7, 1925 and died September 2, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah N. and John J. Martin., her son Randy Stapleton, Jr. and her sister Jeanne M. Westbrook.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years J.R. “Buddy” Stapleton, her sons, J. Martin (Star), Wayne J. (Debbie), Dan T. (Brenda) and David M. Stapleton. Her grandchild Brian L. (Sabrina) Stapleton, 3 great grandchildren, her sister Catherine M. Kramer and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church for over 50 years and was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She was an avid bowler and a member of the Women’s Bowling Association. She loved gardening and playing with her grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin St. Mobile, AL. from 5:00p.m. until 7:00p.m., Tues., Sept. 5, 2017. The funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, Sept., 6, 2017 at 10:00a.m. from St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, 2605 Springhill Ave, Mobile, AL. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
