Shelley Spencer Jr.

Mr. Shelley Spencer, Jr., 96, of Mobile, AL, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 12, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church #1. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.

Mr. Spencer was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. And Mrs. Shellie Spencer, Sr. (Annie Charlie); a brother Walter Spencer; wife, Deloris McCaskill Spencer; and two children, Robert Spencer and Dorothy Jean Spencer.

He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Walter C. (Bernadette) Spencer, Shellie Spencer, III, and Darrell (Mona) Spencer all of Mobile; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Spencer; thirteen grandchildren, Hasheem Ahmaad, Robert Spencer, Jr., Carmelle Spencer, Torie Byrd, Dewaine Spencer, Barbara Spencer, George Spencer, Stacey Chevious, Christopher Owens, Brandy Hunter, DeLissa (Jason) Thrower, Dirk Spencer, and Jason Spencer; 24 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
