Shirley Maisel Buchman

She was a lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama. She graduated from Murphy High School and attended The Ohio State University and Penn State University.

She is predeceased by her parents, Louis and Anna Maisel; her husband, Paul Buchman; her daughter, Myra Buchman; her sister–in–law and brother–in–law, Madalyne and Leon Eplan; her brother, Murry Maisel (Laura) and her nephew, Dr. Stanley Maisel.

She is survived by her son, Neal Buchman of Mobile; her daughter, Leann Buchman Blue (Michael) of Deerfield, Illinois; her grandsons Adam Blue (Alex Daitch), Marc Blue and Paul Blue; and her brother–in–law, Harold Buchman (Gail Walker); nieces, nephews, many cousins; trusted companion and assistant, Rhonda Michelle Williams; and a host of loyal friends.

The family would like to thank the many dedicated caregivers and hospice nurses who provided loving care in her final days.

Funeral services will be held in Ahavas Chesed Cemetery on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the general fund of Ahavas Chesed Synagogue, 705 Regents Way, Mobile, Alabama 36609.
