Sonia Alexander Hooper, 59, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026. Born on December 29, 1966, in Mobile, Alabama, Sonia lived a life defined by love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family, friends, and the simple joys that made her heart full.
Raised in a close-knit family, Sonia was the cherished daughter of Aubrey and Diana Alexander and sister to Mary Havard, Aubrey Alexander Jr., and Stanley Alexander Sr. From a young age, she carried with her the warmth and compassion that would come to define her life. Sonia graduated from Alba High School in 1985, where she built lifelong friendships and began developing the drive and kindness that would guide her through her professional and personal journeys.
Sonia became a true superstar in the field of property management, earning the admiration and respect of co-workers and clients alike. Her work ethic, attention to detail, and caring approach left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of working with her. Which later in life led her to opening her own management company Alpha Omega alongside her nephew Stanley Jr. Growing Alpha Omega and watching Stanley grow in the business she so loved was one of her many greatest joys.
Beyond her career, Sonia’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, dog mom, sister, and friend—a woman whose heart had no limits. On August 28, 2022, she married the love of her life, Mike Hooper. Their bond was built on laughter, trust, and mutual care, and their time together was filled with companionship and deep affection. Her family was her world, and she delighted in their happiness and success.
Her kindness and caring nature were not reserved for people alone. Sonia was an animal lover through and through, and her three beloved dogs—Mia, Rosie, and Red Man—were her daily source of comfort and joy. They brought laughter to her days and a sense of peace that reflected her nurturing spirit.
Sonia loved the water, whether by the ocean, lake, or riverside, she found serenity and renewal there. Family gatherings were among her happiest moments—filled with laughter, good food, and love. She had a quiet but radiant presence that made everyone around her feel seen, valued, and loved. Her ability to bring people together, to make others feel at ease, and to lead with compassion will be remembered forever by all who knew her.
Sonia is survived by her husband, Mike Hooper; her borrowed son, Stanley Alexander Jr.; her sister, Mary Havard; brother Everett Alexander and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
