He is survived by "his most wonderful gifts God ever gave him," his daughters, Kristen Levi Dzwonkowski (Lee) and Chelsea Levi Scruggs (Taylor), their mother Paula Miller Levi; and his incredibly adored sisters, Sarah Levi Freeman, Camille Levi Luscher, and Cindy Levi Allsman (Bob). He is also survived by the most recent lights of his life, his four grandchildren Lee and Caroline Dzwonkowski and Evelyn and Louise Scruggs, who called him "Captain." He loved being "Uncle Steve" to his nieces and nephews, Clayton Smith (Erin), Stuart Smith, Courtney Evans (Charlie), Trice Stabler (Anne), Lauren Boehm (Todd), Hayes Luscher (Caroline), Hebard Haugseth (Hunter), and Hill Luscher.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Doris Levi.
It is almost impossible to put into words the fullness of life that Steve lived. His top priority in life was his family that he loved so much. He deeply cherished his countless friends from all seasons of his life. Steve's passion for sportfishing and being on the water was evident to all. When he wasn't on a boat, he enjoyed being on his land in north Baldwin County, surrounded by his friends around the campfire. Steve rarely encountered someone without leaving a lasting mark on their life. It brought him great joy to be able to lend anyone a helping hand. He was extremely sentimental, and acted out of a place of great thought and care. A private graveside service will be held for Steve's family and friends until the sized celebration that Steve would truly enjoy can safely be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to UMS-Wright Preparatory School, Young Life of Mobile, The Billfish Foundation, or a charity of your choice. Tight Lines Captain!
