Suzann BuZard Holder

August 30, 1948 – July 1, 2016

the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.”

Suzie, 67, of Mobile, AL, died Friday, the 1st of July at her home after a long and difficult illness.

She was born August 30, 1948 in Moss Point, MS to the late Jack and Inez Seward BuZard. She attended Moss Point High School and was graduated in 1966. Being involved with community activities and active in high school, she was a cheerleader and named Miss Moss Point High School her senior year.

Suzie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi in 1971. While at Ole Miss, she was an active member of Tri Delta sorority.

During her 30 plus years of teaching in New Orleans, LA and Memphis, TN she received numerous awards, achievements and recognitions. Soon after retirement, she joined her best friend and cousin, Susan McLaughlin, in Mobile, AL where they shared their mutual love of animals.

Along with her wonderful and wicked sense of humor, she was a steadfast, loyal and caring friend and could entertain those friends for hours. Suzie best loved caring for her beloved pets and socializing with close family. She enjoyed going to movies and fine art events and had a delightful, infectious smile that could light up the room. She was a bright star that will shine in our hearts forever.

Suzie is survived by her husband Thomas E. Linder, Jr., of Mobile, her sister Betty BuZard Norrie of Portland, OR, her aunt Betty Seward of Philadelphia, MS, step brother Al Thomson (Cathy) of Opelika, AL and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews all of whom brought great joy to her life. She is also survived by Tommy’s mom, Mona Linder of Wilton, ME, Tommy’s sisters, Pamela (Clint) Brooks of Jay, ME, Paula Linder of Wilton, ME, Charlotte (Mike) Nyboe of Round Pond, ME and many friends who loved her dearly and will miss her greatly.
