

Ted Roland Dority - A native of Stonewall, MS and a long time resident of Mobile, died Saturday, November 27, 2010, in a local hospital. Mr. Dority was a proud small business owner for over 52 years. Dority's Gulf and Trailer Hitches on Highway 90 was icon for many, many years. Ted was an avid fisherman, and loved to cook and garden. He was published author, a pilot, and a marathon runner, but most of all, a loving husband, wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and true friend. He will be greatly missed. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Ren and Velma Dority; and his brothers, Dewey and Sonny. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Juanita Moore Dority; his son, Dale (Theresa) Dority; two daughters, Rhonda (Steve) Reed and Robin (Tony) Smith; ten grandchildren, Hayden (Brandon) Lunceford, Hali Dority, Christy Dority, Cori Dority, Anna Reed, Maggie Reed, Ted Bailey Smith, Addie Smith, Stephanie (Ryan) Haygood, and Porsha (Danny) Kidwell; three great-grandchildren, Thomas Ren, Emma Grace and Carson Lane; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends, too numerous to name. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street.
