
March 5, 2015 Theodore James Terry, a native of Opp, AL and a longtime resident of Mobile, AL died at home on March 5, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and two brothers. He was a faithful member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, where he served a Financial Secretary of Knights of Peter Claver #350. He is a graduate of Covington County Training School in Andalusia, AL. He went on to receive a Bachelors of Science Degree at Alabama State University. He further received a Masters of Science Degree in Mathematics from Atlanta University. He is a veteran of the Korean War and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., Mobile Alumni Chapter. He is also a retired teacher from Bishop State Community College and an adjunct professor at the University of South Alabama, Mobile, AL. He leaves to cherish his memories a wife, Mattie Terry, two sons, Carlos (Gwen) Terry of Mobile, Wendell D. Terry of Palmetto, GA and one daughter, Melanie (Darnell) Boyd of Snellville, GA; six grandsons, Carlos B. Terry, Jr., Jervonta Dale of Mobile, Christopher, Kyle and Chase Ashford of Snellville, GA and Franklin Terry of Palmetto, GA. A devoted niece, Maribel (Eddie) Rosborough, and a cherished nephew, Ronald Ivory of New York, NY; one godson, Mark Callier and a goddaughter, Ariel Jackson of Mobile, AL and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Home going ceremonies will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church at 2034 Saint Stephens Road, Mobile, AL on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Pine Crest Funeral Home,Mobile, Alabama.
