Virgie Lee Thames

Virgie Lee Thames—a longtime resident of Mobile, Al. and member of Fulton Road Baptist Church, passed away Friday, Jan. 10, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford H. Thames, two brothers, Malcolm and Cleon White, two sisters, Bonnie Johnson and Cleo Wiggins. Virgie is survived by her son, Michael P. (Brenda) Thames, daughter, Louise (Dale) Parker, two grandsons, Michael D. (Lynette) Thames, Matthew Thames, two sisters, Billie (Virgil) Lowrey, Shirley Bowden, one brother, Dewey White, sister-in-law, Janice Findley, granddaughter , Natasha (Chris) Wells and four great-grandchildren and other nieces and nephews. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the caregivers at Bayridge at Westminster for the love and care they showed to Virgie over the past few years. Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00p.m. Tuesday, Jan 14 from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Arrangements under the direction of Radney Funeral Home-Mobile, Mobile, AL.
